I just found a very insightful and interesting article over at RoboticsTrends.com,
that discusses the future of robotics in the various regions of the US.
The article, written by Dr. Pete Markiewicz, looks at various trends to
determine where the "robotvalley" will show up.
The abstract reads:
Will Silicon Valley, the unquestioned center of the computer tech
boom, also become the 'Silicon Valley' of robotics? According to Pete
Markiewicz, the Valley mindset, along with the other factors that
created the virtual worlds of the PC and Internet, might not be well
suited to the development of devices that must operate in the
rough-and-tumble of the real world.
You can check out Dr. Markiewicz's website at http://www.plyojump.com/bio/
So, where do you think "robotvalley" will crop up?
