You worked out well for a while. We enjoyed each other, but then someone else caught my attention - sleek, fast, and not bloated. Yes Joomla, my love for you has waxed dim. I have a new love, and its name is Wordpress.
You heard right. I'm switching the site from Joomla to Wordpress. This will make things better for both me and you, the readers. The site should be faster, we'll have a real commenting system (maybe even Avatars!), and trackbacks. Actually writing content will be much easier thanks to the loads of great plugins , third party tools, and cool browser plugins for Wordpress.
The new site is now live here. Please take a look at let me know how thing are running, and if you'd like to see any changes. I will be looking for a new theme, so any theme designers out there, send me an email (william at gorobotics.net) and give me a quote. You'll also notice our cool new logo! I'm especially excited about this one, as we've never had a proper logo in the almost 8 years the site has been live.
I'm very excited about the changes, and I think the new additions will make GoRobotics.net an even better site. Thanks to all the loyal fans. I couldn't do it without you!

By using the online offer code, "PLEOWORLDISONE", at checkout, you can get a Pleo for the incredibly low price of $235. Keep in mind that the sale only lasts through JULY 11th, so order fast.
You may also notice, that Ugobe now offers replacement batteries for Pleo. Be sure to pick up an extra if you'd like extended play (or experimentation time) with you new robotic dino-pal.
Ugobe has also released a new update for Pleo, Pleosarous Rex, which makes Pleo act like Godzilla.
Pleo is a great toy and is ripe for hacking. Getting one for $235 is a steal, so I highly suggest you take Ugobe up on the deal. Now, I just have to convince my wife that I need two ...
Have you ever wanted to see some hot combat robot action in slow motion? Here's your chance. This footage was recorded at the Carolina Combat event this past weeked in North Carolina (how'd I miss it?!) by Robert Woodhead. The video is shot with a Casio Exilim EX-F1 camera, that can take video at up to 1200 fps (the video below is shot at 300fps). The quality and detail is absolutely stunning.
